Hampton Park

Hampton Park has been a central recreational facility for Piedmont families since it was created by a gift from Witter Family in 1974. Due to its heavy use, the assets at Hampton have started to show their age: The entire park is subject to flooding and poor drainage Flooding and heavy soccer usage prevents grass play 3 months of the year Clay infield limits year round and multi sport usage - infield clay is draining into Lake Merritt, causing an environmental issue Surface cracking on courts degrades player experience and is becoming a safety issue Fails to meet ADA access requirements
